We are still trying to get back into the swing of things.
Today we are off to see if we can find a new budgie to come live with us. Our poor budgie Claude who should have been Claudette passed away the Thursday before we went on holidays. After a three years of constant egg laying her little body couldn't take any more.
We miss the noise and presence of our little friend. Bye Claude.

I’m so sorry to hear about your little bird Claude(tte). When I was young we had exactly the same blue bird at home, he talked and came sit on our shoulders. I hope you find another lovely Claude(tte)!

Thank you - we now have another little blue bird - he's called Spice and is settling in well. We made sure we got a boy this time.
Oh, what a sweet bird, I'm so sorry to hear about her. I had a male when I was young that I adored. I don't really understand your "egg" comments and I apparently don't know about budgies -- do you also have a male around? Anyway, thanks SO much for visiting -- blogland is killing me -- I keep finding new blogs everyday! Yours is SO lovely. And your profile says you're a smocker! I love to smock, but haven't had a reason for so many years. Hoping there will be more of a need in the future! ;-)

Thanks for visiting. No, no boy around, which I guess is why she kept laying as they weren't fertilised. Initially she sat on them but that was so sad to watch we took them away. After that she paid no attention and often laid them from sitting on her perch. Poor little love. I researched on the web but could find anything that would help.
